Biography

Frederick was born in Elstead Surrey before 21 February 1858 which is the date of his christening there. Frederick is the son of Edward Snelling and Jane (maiden name yet to be researched).

Frederick worked his whole life as an agricultural labourer and carter. He remained a bachelor until he was 49 years old.

On 1 June 1907 at St James Church in Rowledge Surrey Frederick married Harriet Mitchell (nee Gillham), a widow with no children.

Frederick passed away in Rowledge in April 1925 at age 67. He was interred at St James Church, Rowledge on 13 April 1925. Wife Harriet survived until 1939.
