Charles C Smith died (age 52) on 28 September 1911 in Yuba, California, United States.^[6]

"DEATH OF C. CLIFTON SMITH

Charles Clifton Smith, a native of Nevada county, died In this city yesterday at the age of 52 years 4 months. He leaves to mourn his death one sister. Laura Young of Los Angeles, and three brothers, Thomas Smith of Marysville township, Len and Henry Smith of Roseville. Deceased was well known in this part of the country, having been engaged in sheep raising here for many years. The body is at the parlors of R E Revan, front which place the funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. Interment will be In the City cemetery."^[7]
