They are both listed as white, although other records, including the draft registration the same year and place, lists him as negro.
The WWII draft registration for Clarence Slyke, on 16 October 1940, gives his birth as on 16 May 1905 in Ocala, Marion, Florida, United States, his residence as St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida, and his closest relative as Mrs Eva William.[4]
He died in 1953 in Marion, Florida, United States.[5]
