Clarence Slyke is a part of US Black heritage.

Clarence was born in 1905. He is the son of Porter Slight and Rosa Williams.

In 1910, age 4, as Clarence Slight ^[1] and 1920, at age 14, as Clarence Slyke ^[2] he is in the household of his parents, Porter and Rosa Slight/Slyke in Marion, Florida.

The 1940 census shows Clarence Slike,35, in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida, United States, single, as a lodger.^[3] Eva Williams, listed as his closest relative on the 1940 draft registration, is also in the household as a lodger. They are both listed as white, although other records, including the draft registration the same year and place, lists him as negro.

The WWII draft registration for Clarence Slyke, on 16 October 1940, gives his birth as on 16 May 1905 in Ocala, Marion, Florida, United States, his residence as St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida, and his closest relative as Mrs Eva William.^[4]

He died in 1953 in Marion, Florida, United States.^[5]
