George Simmons is a part of US Black heritage.

George Simmons was a Freemason and a member of St John Lodge #349, South Carolina.

George was born in 1923 in South Carolina. ^[1]He was the son of Frank Simmons and Mary Jenkins.

In 1940 he was living with his parents and siblings in Eutaw, South Carolina.^[2]

He passed away in 1980 at his home in Pineville, South Carolina. He was survived by his mother, his widow Martha Prioleau Simmons, three daughters, two sons, six brothers, three sisters.

According to his obituary George was a member of the St John Masonic Lodge 349. He was active in the Hickory Hill Baptist Church. George was buried in Sanders Hill Cemetery.^[3]
