He married Ann Gardner on 15 September 1801 in Devonshire House, Houndsditch, London. Benjamin was a shopkeeper, of Reigate, in Surrey, and the son of Joseph, a cordwainer, and Susannah, of Crawley. Ann was the daughter of John Gardner, of Bakers Row, Whitechapel, a baker, and his wife Ann [3]
