IMMIGRATION. ARRIVAL OF THE "MALLARD." This ship arrived from London and Southampton with Government immigrants yesterday morning, having accomplished the passage from the latter port in a hundred and one days. In addition to 218 souls, she has brought a very valuable and extensive general cargo. From the Surgeon's list of immigrants we extract the following classification:—21 labourers, 13 carpenters, 6 blacksmiths, 4 sawyers, 2 bricklayers, 2 gardeners, 1 brickmaker, 1 mason, I shepherd. The immigrants on board this vessel had a very clean and generally prepossessing appearance. As general sickness of importance showed itself throughout the passage. The deaths amounted to five, two of the deceased being infants who were born on the passage, these being the only births that occurred, 221 was the number of emigrants that embarked, and 218 are therefore now on board. There being water enough on the bar, this vessel proceeded over it without delay, and is now moored in the stream.
