Biography

Nils Samundsen Nordang was born 9 Sep 1819 and baptized 12 Sep 1819 in Hjørundfjord. He was the son of Samund Olsen and Anna Nilsdatter.^[1]

He married Steffine Karlsdatter Nordang on 8 Jun 1845.^[2] Their children were:

1. Anne Marie Nilsdatter (1845 - 1930)
2. Samund Nilsen (1851 - 1946)
3. Berte Karoline Nilsdatter (1854 - 1916)
4. Jakobine Marta Susanne Nilsdatter (1858 - 1932)

In the 1865 census he was 47 years old and lived at Nordang farm with his wife and four children.^[3]

In the 1875 census he lived at Nordang farm with his wife and three of their children.^[4]

He passed away on 14 Feb 1878.^[5]
