Steffine Carlsdatter Norang was born on 22 Oct 1819 and baptized 31 Oct 1819 in Hjørundfjord. She was the daughter of Karl Larsen and Brite Steffensdatter.^[1]

She married Nils Samundsen Nordang on 8 Jun 1845.^[2]Their children were:

1. Anne Marie Nilsdatter (1845 - 1930)
2. Samund Nilsen (1851 - 1946)
3. Berte Karoline Nilsdatter (1854 - 1916)
4. Jakobine Marta Susanne Nilsdatter (1858 - 1932)

In the 1865 census she was 47 years old and lived with her husband and four children at Nordang farm.^[3]

In the 1875 census she lived at Nordang farm with her husband and three children.^[4]

Steffine was pre-deceased by her husband Nils in 1878.

In the 1891 census she was a widow and lived at Nordang farm in the household of her son Samund.^[5]

In the 1900 census she was a widow and lived in the household of her son Samund at Nordang farm.^[6]

She passed away on 12 Jan 1910.^[7]
