Son of Stephen L. Sage and Mary Margaret Sargent.
His first wife was Emily Arnold. They were married 16 Apr 1874 in Warren County, Illinois. Her name is given as Rachel Arnold in their son's 1912 marriage record.[1]
Their child was Harold "Harry" Lewis Sage
His second wife was Sarah Harriet Streiter, married 28 Jan 1880 in Monmouth, Warren, Illinois.[2]
Harriet was age 16 when she and George, age 28, were enumerated in the 1880 Census for Oquawka, Henderson, Illinois.[3]
Listed as age 48 in 1900, George was living with Harriet, their children, and her father Alvy Streiter age 78 b NY, in Monmouth, Warren, Illinois.[4]
