Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
Hello! I am trying to work out my conection to Jacob Gordanier. I have some "wobbles" in my tree, but I see that a dna kit you posted and one onf mine have a good connection:
T761737 (Brenda Rohrer Smith) [Migration - F2 - F] and Kit LV7874077 (Joanne Paterson) [AncestryDNA V4]
If you want to connect to compare notes, I'd be happy to!
cheers, Jo
Joanne, I sent you a private reply with more detail. Yes we do connect under GEDMATCH and again at Ancestry under a profile you manage GP. You also match my brother G Rohrer at GEDMATCH. I believe it is through two daughters, Jannetje and Annetje of Jacob Gordanier.
Our team pages don't use a background image. For any other free-space page or profile page, though, I'd say go for it! I particularly like b&w images because they don't fight with the text, but that's just my publishing background talking. Do you like setting up free-space pages because there are some location pages that need setting up? Let me know if you're interested.
