Biography

Herbert Basil Rivington was born in January 1877^[1] and christened on 20 February at St Mary Magdalene, Paddington, Middlesex.^[2] He was the son of publisher Septimus Rivington and Edith Elizabeth Morgan.

Rev Herbert was a CMS Missionary and former curate of Horley.

On 5 November 1918 at Halfa Church, Halfa, Sudan, Herbert married American missionary nurse Emma Myrtle McKeown.^[3]

He passed away in January 1962.^[4][5] He was cremated and his remains were interred at St Bartholomews, Horley, Surrey.^[6]
