Biography

Nicolo' Riina, the son of Giuseppe Riina and Biagia Orlando, is born on 2 December 1863 in his parents' home on via Borgognoni in Corleone.[1] Nicolo' is named after his paternal grandfather.

Nicolo' marries Lucia di Carlo, daughter of Castrenze di Carlo and Arcangela Cutrone, on 25 November 1889.[2]

Josephine, called "Jessie," marries Lee Patronella in Bell, Texas, on 2 December 1899.[3]

Engraved on the stone marker: Nicola (Nick) Reina, born in Sicily Italy 1862, died in Bon Ami, Louisiana in 1901. Husband of Lucia Di Carlo. Grandfather of Frank Pollacia, Nick Polacia Sr., Ciro, Lena, Lucy, and Mary Lee Pollacia, J. C. Howard, Lucy and Bessie Mae Reina. Lucy, Pauline & Frances Plescia. Elizabeth Reina Mustacchia. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder, Beauregard Parish, Louisiana.[4]

Joseph Riina, age 21 (b. 1892), resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, son of the late Nick Riina and the living Lucy Riina of Lake Charles; and Maddalena Leon, age 17 (b. 1896) of Lake Charles, daughter of Carmelo Leon and Biagia de Turio, also of Lake Charles, are issued a license to marry in Louisiana on 7 January 1913.[5]

Angela Reina, age 19 (b. 1896), resident of Lake Charles, LA, daughter of the late Nick Reina and the living Lucy Reina, also of Lake Charles, marries Tony Plescia, age 24 (b. 1891), son of the late Onofrio Plescia and “Lo Bue Plescia”, who lives in Villafrati, Italy, on 31 May 1915 in Calcasieu, Louisiana.[6]

Josephine Patronella dies in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston on 8 August 1969. She is a widow, self employed in the grocery business. She was born on 5 February 1882 and was 87 years old, born in Bryan, TX. The informant is Nick L. Patronella. She died from a massive pulmonary embolism. Her parents’ names are not known.[7][8]
