Biography

Rex was born in 1903^[1], just two days before the Wright Brothers launched their Flyer at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at a young age and served during both World Wars, totaling 28 years in the ranks.^[2][3][4] In the 1950 census, he's a locks guard in Gatun, Panama Canal Zone, and married to Ila Mae King.^[5] He died of a heart attack in 1957 and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.^[6]
