About the Project
The Kelly Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Kelly name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Kelly name.
As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Kellys), by time period (18th Century Kellys), or by topic (Kelly DNA, Kelly Occupations, Kelly Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

Background
On familysearch.org, I connect to Nicholas De Kelley, born 1100 in Kelley, Devon, England. ( https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L1DL-KFC). My link on Family Search to Nicholas De Kelley is VERY poorly documented. If we work together, perhaps all Kellys would connect to Nicholas De Kelley.
Task List
- Merge William Jasper Kelly (Kelly-15591) and William Jasper Kelly (Kelly-15811) - The parentage of Kelly-15591 conflicts with https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LHJJ-9LJ?1=1&spouse=LRMM-F7J. I have currently have no idea which is correct.

Looking for Kelly's who's ancestors were born in and around Vinton, Quebec. To my knowledge the Kelly's all came from Ireland. Ancestors associated with the Kelly name on my side are: Sloans, Heartys & possibly Delaneys & Gallaghers? Thanks for helping.
Despite my surname it appears that I'm group 14 Ui Mhaine Kelly. Somewhere up the line a Lloyd lady has some explaining to do! I have been working with Aidan Kelly and his team at the Kelley surname project at FTDNA for number of years now. Recently it was suggested that we investigate WikiTree as a public repository of our research. Going through the learning process. I like what Jarad has done with the group 10 people and I'm using it as a blueprint for other lines we have investigated. It's going to take a while but I'm happy with what I've seen so far. Cheers Steve Bath, Ontario, Canada.
