François Xavier was born in Farnham, Missisquoi, Canada East on 20 February 1862, son of Emery Potvin and Rosalie Paré. He was baptized at Saint-Romuald-de-Farnham on 23 February 1862. [1]
He married Eugenie Clemence Dubreuil on 9 February 1892 at St-Cesaire. [2]
