Argyle Township Court House Archives:Town of Wedgeport Fonds The community of Wedgeport, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, prior to 1910, was part of the Municipality of the District of Argyle and was known as Tusket Wedge. In 1908 residents petitioned the Provincial Government for town incorporation and on 16 May 1910, the Town of Wedgeport was officially incorporated. The communities currently known as Upper Wedgeport, Wedgeport, and Lower Wedgeport, became a single town, separate from the Municipality of Argyle.
