Early Life

Donald was born in 21^[1] October 1865 in Turnbery, Ontario, Canada.^[2] His parents were Thomas Pope and Janet "Jessie" (Clark) Pope.

In 1871, Donald (aged 8) lived in Turnberry, Huron North, Ontario, Canada, with his parents: Donald (aged 50), Farmer, and Jessie (aged 40), and his siblings: Thomas (aged 10), Jane (aged 9), John (aged 6), Charles (aged 3), and Mary (aged 1). ^[3]
