Biography

Sherman Pitts is a part of US Black heritage.

Sherman Pitts was born about January 1865 in Georgia, the son of Edith Daniels and Esquire Pitts. He was living in Troy, Pike, Alabama in 1900 and listed as widowed. Sherman was living in Troy, Pike, Alabama in 1910 and listed as divorced.

Sherman married Arena Warren on December 14, 1913, in Pike, Alabama. They had three children during their marriage. He was a carpenter by occupation and died on January 24, 1935, in Troy, Pike, Alabama, at the age of 70 and is buried in Troy Cemetery.
