She passed away on 24 Oct 1821 in Montréal.[3] The age given on her burial record was 79 years, the widow of Jean Baptiste Neau.
Research Notes
Genevieve's marriage record gives her parents' names as Pierre Pinet and Marie Genevieve Trahan. The only known Pinet-Trahan marriage is Pierre Pinet and Monique Trahan, and Pierre Pinet born 1730 seems to be the only Pierre who would have been old enough to be her father, considering she married in 1774. So Pierre Pinet and Monique Trahan seem to be her likely parents (PRDH lists them as her parents as well). Even though her burial record indicates she was born about 1742, she must have been born about 1757 to be their daughter, since they married in 1756 and Monique died in 1758.
