Biography

Louisiana Pickett was born on January 25, 1857, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, United States, daughter of Hosea Pickett (1815–1870) and Mary Ann Mercer (1824–~1883). [1]

She married R.M. White on 16 May 1874 in Red River Parish, Louisiana and was divorced before 1880. [2] [3]

Louisiana (24) married Hercel Cicero Isham (21) (born on November 8, 1859, in Everett Springs, Floyd, Georgia, United States; son of Rev. Washington Marion Isham and Rosamon (Brewer) Isham) on February 15, 1881, in Tarrant, Texas, United States. [4] They moved to Greer Oklahoma after 1891 [5] and on to Curry, New Mexico prior to 1910. [6] [7] They moved back to Oklahoma before 1930. [8] [9] [10]

Their children were:

  1. Allie Isham (1882–1900)
  2. Rawza Isham (1883–1986)
  3. Bertha Belle Isham (1885–1962)
  4. Hilery Hamilton Isham (1885–1956)
  5. Mamie Vera Isham (1887–1951)
  6. Cuba Ida Isham (1891–1973)

Louisiana died on April 1, 1955, in Blair, Jackson, Oklahoma, United States, aged 98. She is buried in Blair Cemetery, Blair, Oklahoma. [11]
