He passed away in late summer or early fall 1771.[1]
William Peyton and his twin brother George (Randolph) were born in 1700 in Stafford, Virginia.
He married Mary Roberts in 1722, a daughter of John Roberts. They resided in Culpeper County.
William served as Clerk of St. Mark's Parish from it's creation in 1730 for 40 years per Slaughter's History. He died prior to October 21, 1771, the date his will was proved in Culpeper, Virginia, at the age of 71.[2] He named the following children:
