Cecil Maurice Peters was born in 1886, his birth registered between Jul-Sep 1886 at Westhampnett, Sussex.[1] He was baptised on 19 September 1886 at West Wittering, Sussex, England.[2] He was the son of Henry Peters, a Coastguard, and Sarah Andrews.
Cecil was the fifth of seven children born to William and Sarah:

In the 1891 census of Dartmouth, Devon, Cecil M Peters was age 4 and living at Silver Street with his father William H Peters, a Naval Pensioner (41), mother Sarah (34), a Fish Saleswoman, and siblings Henry (14), Errand Boy, Florence R (11), Alice M (9), William J (6), Frances B (2) and Robert G (6 months).[3]
In the 1901 census of Dartmouth, Devon, Cecil M was age 14 and living at Silver Street with his father William H Peters (51) Naval Pensioner, mother Sarah (44), and siblings Frances B (12) and Robert G (10).[4]
Marriage & Family
Cecil married Kate Peters, the former wife of his late younger brother Robert George Peters, their marriage registered between Oct-Dec 1921 at Totnes, Devon.[5]
In the 1939 Register, Cecil M Peters (born 17 Jul 86), Coal Porter (Heavy Worker), was married and living at 7 Bayards Cove, Dartmouth with his wife Kate (born 10 Feb 93) and son George E Peters (born 16 May 21), Fisherman.[6]
Death
Cecil died in 1968, aged 81, his death registered between Jan-Mar 1968 at Totnes, Devon.[7]
