Louisa Peters is a part of US Black heritage.

Louisa was born 4 Dec 1793 in Tolland, Connecticut. She is the daughter of Caesar Peters and Lois, who died when Louisa was two weeks old.

Her parents had been enslaved, but were freed in 1789, so Louisa was born free.
