Amos Peters was born on July 20, 1837, in Shenandoah, Virginia, John Peters and Catherine Pence. He married Sarah C Baker and they had eight children together. He then married Barbara Lonas and they had two children together. He died on October 12, 1902, in his hometown at the age of 65, and was buried in Shenandoah, Virginia.

Amos Norval Peters was born on July 20, 1837, in Shenandoah, Virginia, to Catherine Pence, age 24, and John Peters, age 26.[1]

Amos married Sarah C Baker in Shenandoah, Virginia, on June 8, 1858, when he was 20 years old.[1][2]
Amos married Barbara Lonas in Shenandoah, Virginia, in May 1881 when he was 43 years old.[1]
Military
Amos served the Confederacy during the Civil War. He enlisted 29 April 1862 as a Private, in Company C, 97th Virginia Militia. He transferred to Company K, 7th Virginia Cavalry (Ashby's), mustering out 19 April 1865 as a Sergeant.[3][4][5][6]
Death
Amos died on October 12, 1902, in Shenandoah, Virginia, when he was 65 years old.[1][7]
Burial
Amos is buried in Solomons Lutheran Church Cemetery in Forestville, Shenandoah County, Virginia.[8]
