My family tree is here on WikiTree but it's private.
Two of the names that show up in my family tree and that also lived on Nantucket island and that also appear in Herman Melville's novel Moby
Dick are Starbuck and Coffin, and both families lived on Nantucket Island in the same time span....is that a coincidence?
Good morning Norman. I am interested in Anthony Winston; his son-in-law was Robert High. He is my husband's ancestor. The evidence indicates that Anthony Winston was the son of the Isaac Winston who likely died in Granville County. His will was proven in the November court 1761. Anthony Winston is in the Bute County tax list; 1771 Anthony Winston and 2 sons John and Isaac, one Black; 4 total. George Winston, constable in Goodloe's District is listed next. George is exempt from taxes. [1]. I have several docs which I have downloaded which I can send to you. Hoping you and others would like to collaborate on Anthony's parents. Thanks, Beth Gay
I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well!
If I don’t hear back from you by the end of April, I will assume you no longer wish to be a member of the Germany Project and I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.
The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.
REMINDERS: (1) We use Google Groups for project collaboration and you aren’t yet a member of the group, please submit a join request here (make sure to add your name/WikiTree ID to the request). (2) I see you've added German_Roots (our old project name) to your G2G tags, you should also add GERMANY to your followed G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).
Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
On behalf of the Connectors Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
Norman thanks for the "Wonderful Wikitreer" award ! Totally unexpected....your check is in the mail ;) ( just kidding ). Means a lot coming from you. Thanks
There is no statement on this profile to support the claim of the parental relationship(s) as 'confirmed with 'DNA'. Please change the relationship(s) to 'confident'. Thanks!
I have verified that my 5th g grandfather, who I haven't made it to yet on WikiTree is Colonel Thomas Wren (1703-1768) of Lancaster and Fairfax, Virginia, and he is the uncle of your James Wren. This family is very confusing. The Wrens and the Brents often married each other and I have more than one Thomas Wren who married a Catherine Brent! Anyway, we are related in someway so nice to meet you!
Hi Norman, Can you add the source for the birth date change you made to Stoffold-8? All other sources listed on the profile have June as the birth month, even his birth/christening record. Thanks, we can then take a look and figure out which is correct.
Hello Norman ... just wanted to say thank you for doing the merge of Esther Holland (Holland-2962) and Esther Tilghman (Holland-1217). And, thank you for working to make wikiTree more accurate.
Have you had a chance to review the Trusted List request I sent on 10 January and the Private Message I sent you on 15 March?
