Biography

Christian Peake was baptized 15 Feb 1584, the daughter of Thomas Peake of Muchelney, Somerset^[1]a village about six miles (10 km) west of Ilchester and his wife, Grace.

In about 1610, Christian married William Arnold who was born at Ilchester 24 Jun 1587.^[1] Of this marriage, Torrey in "New England Marriages to 1700" says:

In the spring of 1635, Christian immigrated to New England with her husband and family.^[3] Christian died after 1659 at Pawtuxet, Rhode Island.^{[citation needed]}

Research notes

This profile originally stated death was after 1659 at Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island.^[4] GM does not give any death info for Christian. There is a land related court record for her husband in 27 April 1659, but as its related to acquiring land there doesn't seem to be any reason why she would be mentioned. GM Directory only lists William's profile and Search for the passengers of the Mary & John, 1630 which isn't online. Cole-12288 23:52, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Profile also stated without source She died in 1680 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, at the impressive age of 96.
