George was the son of John Peacock and Jane Knight
His birth date is calculated from age at death entered as 76 years, 9 months and 23 days on his death record
George Peacock arrived in New York 22 October 1833.
Marriage to Jane Robinson 26 December 1835 at Saint Pauls Episcopal Church, Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States
He moved to Upper Canada before 1838 and settled in Simcoe County, with his parents and his wife.
George Peacock was the enumerator in the Simcoe area for the 1871 and 1881 census.

Research Notes

The date of arrival in New York on the FS record is mistranscribed as 1835, it is correct on the Ancestry record.
The family history document image, states that George and Jane went to Maine to open a store, the state of Maine does not seem possible as a location.
There is a town called Maine in New York State.
Maine, a post-village in the Broome township, about 70 miles S. from Syracuse.
It is important to realise that there is both a county and place named Simcoe in Ontario, Simcoe the town is on the shore of Lake Erie, Simcoe County is located north of Toronto about 225 km away from Simcoe the town.
The 1851 Census records for Simcoe County no longer exist.
