This is our family DNA connection, my great grandmother was Enslaved Julia Tanner/Terry, it was said that her father was Logan Michael Tanner son of George Michael Tanner and Catherine Brady. I would love to find any documentation to help prove this fact. My mother has multiple DNA matches over 100cM with members of the Tanner family line. Below is your connection to my mother.
Paternal and Maternal relationships are both confident based on a triangulated group on GEDmatch who share a 24.6 cM segment on chromosome 11, consisting of Lula Mae (Burns) Taylor, GEDmatch kit # M000840 , and Michael Payne, her 3rd cousin 1x removed, GEDmatch kit # T134068, and Robert Burns, her 1st cousin 2x removed, GEDmatch kit # AG7873300. (Michael and Robert are 4th cousins 1x removed.) Their most-recent common ancestors are George Tanner and Catherine Brady, the 2x great grandparents of Lula Mae (Burns) Taylor and 3x great grandparents of Michael Payne and 4x great grandparents of Robert Burns.

I have started a family Project on Gedmatch, I would like to add your gedmatch number to the project to see your connect to other family member on both my of our family. I would also love for you to join this project, the project name is: # All About Our Family Connection. Please feel free to share this with other family members as well.
Your Cousin David Anthony Taylor [email address removed]
Unfortunately, the triangulated group you've shown is not a valid group because it includes a match between 1st cousins 2x removed (Lula Mae (Burns) Taylor and Robert Burns) . WIkiTree specifies that at least three of the matches must be between cousins who are, at minimum, 3rd cousins once removed (that is, 3rd cousins 2x removed, 4th cousins, etc.), as stated in the Help for DNA confirmation. Please do not use this triangulation group to set the "confirm with DNA" relationship confidence indicator.

My name is Don Mills and I am a descendent of Luke S. Nowell. I have enquired from several people about Luke's middle name being listed as "Smithy". Do you have or know of any information (documented) that states that his middle name is actually Smithy? I can't seem to find anything to support this or is just an assumption.
Thanks Don Mills
