OBITUARY
MRS. W. S. McPHILLIPS
The death occurred in Sydney on May 18 of a well known personality in Clarence River district racing circles, Mrs. Wilhelmina McPhillips. Mrs. McPhillips was 77 years old. She had been in hospital in Grafton for two months before she was moved to a Sydney hospital, where her condition grew worse.
Her husband, Mr. W. S. McPhillips, lives at 127 Pound street- Grafton.
Mrs. McPhillips was the daughter of the late Charles Page, who was a prominent horse trainer in the Clarence River district for many years.
Mrs. McPhillips is survived by two sisters, Mrs. M. Morris and Mrs. R. L. Hough, and one brother, James Page, all of Grafton.
Like her father Mrs. McPhillips was a keen patron of racing in the Clarence district, and of Grafton's July race meeting in particular.
