Anne was born in Elie, Fife, Scotland in 1787 to John Ovenstone & Anne Allan. She was baptised on the 11th November.

In 1871 she was living in Shore Street, Elie, Fife with her daughter & son in law Anne & James Haxton and her grandchildren Thomas, Ann, Elizabeth, Agnes & Margaret. She was an annuitant.
