Biagia Orlando is born around 1865 in Prizzi, the daughter of Gioachino Orlando and Rosa Tessitore.
Biagia marries Giuseppe Plescia, son of Giuseppe Plescia and Vita Raia, on 11 November 1888 in his native town, the neighboring Corleone.[1]
Giuseppe and Biagia have five known children: Vita (c. 1890), Rosa (c. 1891), Giuseppa (c. 1897), Giuseppe (c. 1899), and Giacomo (c. 1902).
Giuseppe emigrates at an unknown date.
In 1898, Biagia's half brother, Pietro, joins his uncle Biagio Cortimiglia in White Castle, Louisiana.
