Biography

Thomas Fisher Organ was baptised in St James, Dursley, Gloucestershire on 13 March 1814. He was the son of Elias Organ & Betty Fisher.^[1]

Thomas Organ married Honoria McNamara in the Roman Catholic Church, Wollongong, New south Wales during 1840.^[2] They had the following children:

1. Mary A Organ, born 1841 in Wollongong^[3]
2. Elizabeth Organ, born 1845 in Cooma district^[4]
3. Elizabeth Organ, born 1847 in Cooma district^[5]
4. Hannah Organ, born 1849 in Yass district^[6]

Research Notes

The only death registered in 1867 in New South Wales in the last name was per:

• NSW BDM death registration of ORGAN, HENRY, reg. no.1849/1867, showing AGE 46 YEARS and DIED SYDNEY, registered at SYDNEY

This does not help to explain why:

1. The place of death shown on the profile is Wagga Wagga (~450 kilometres south-west of Sydney)
2. The burial place per the associated Find a Grave memorial is Inverell (~575 kilometres north of Sydney)
3. It seems unlikley that a body world have been conveyed between any of of these places after death and for burial given the very limited transport options in 1867 (that is, bullock carts and no trains, etc.)
