My great-great-great grandparents on my grandmothers side is Mary Nicklin (b. 1859); (parents: Margaret Langstaff (b. 1832) & Thomas Langstaff (b. 1828)) & Charles Nicklin (b. 1853) ; (parents: Maria Nicklin (b. 1816) & John Nicklin (b. 1810)).
I do not know my father, unless I do a DNA test, I will never know. I have been told a John Ogden from Dunedin was my father, and that he was married with children and that he came to Auckland and had a fling with my mother... whether this is true or not has not been confirmed....
I currently work for Fulton Hogan Auckland and have been since 2018.
I never married... I never believed in marriage...and have gone way to long for a partner.
I had my first daughter Rachael Jane Ogilvy to my boyfriend at the time in 1997, we split up during my pregnancy. She died of a heart and diaphragm problems. She lived for just over 24hours. Rachael was born around 4am 21st October 1997, taken off life support around 2.30pm and died in my arms around 2.30am, 22nd October 1997.[1]
My second daughter, Sarah Lalita Macrae was born 19th February 2010. Her father was Darren Sharpe. He does not have any contact with Sarah. We were never together as a couple.
We are peas and carrots - so alike but so different.. Very close atm...She is now coming into her teenage years...
I was born with cataracts I wore glasses until I was 47... I was half blind in one eye and short sighted in the other, but in 2023 I had cataract surgery in my good eye and see without glasses apart from reading.
I am waiting for the next surgery on my bad (left) eye.
I started the family tree through Family Echo over 20 years ago with the help of two reunion genealogy books handed down to me by my mother who went to two reunions. But since I have found WikiTree, I have not looked back nor updated Family Echo...
The most accurate data we have is from our Family Tree books were Maria Pettit and John Nicklin came from Australia after serving their sentence, though we have no record on how they got to New Zealand. The Maria Pettit ad John Nicklin 'A Leap In The Dark' via Australia to New Zealand I think was written by an Audrey Bowers who lived in Hamilton as that what the first blog is from, with help from Violet Moody. It started with John Nicklin 1810-1866 and ends with Victor Nicklin 1898- I am still looking for their/my ancestors....
And the other is from the Reunion in 1983 - the Stent/Lind Reunion. 16/10.1983. Unknown who it was written by as the front page has gone. The first blog is by G.H Lind. It was helped by one of my Aunties, Leonie Kerr (My grand-fathers Sister)
Mum worked three jobs to own her own unit in Sunnynook. I was brought up as an only child to Keris Ogilvy and then after I was seven years old Robert Pate became my sort of 'step father' (Mum' boyfriend 9 yeas younger than my mother). He moved in with my mother and as a professional builder, did a lot to the unit and they both sold it in 1986. In 1987 They both brought a property in Milford. In all sorts, he was my father..... though not legally... The partnership broke up in 2008.
Schooling
My half sister Renee Tait Ogilvy or as now known as Renée Tait was my mothers husbands child who was the first born and fostered out to Bernice Tait before I remember. I have found no records of him.
During 2014 in Napier, I did a pre-nursing course in Health and Science and passed. I decided not to continue with nursing due to personal reasons.

Can you please fix your New Zealand stickers to have the correct locations in the place= parameter and the region= parameter being one of the 16 regions on the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Regions_of_New_Zealand page. Otherwise you will end up with categories that are high level or incorrectly named.
Thank You Darren

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!
It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
