This is probably the Drysdale "Scotty" Ogilvie who came to Hazelton, BC, Canada with railroad construction c. 1912, enlisted there for WW I, returned and worked as telegraph operator at Echo Lake (a remote post now on BC Hwy 37), and died July 8, 1928 , when the bank of Ningunsaw River collapsed under him. He was on his way to help Lillian Alling whose attempt to walk from New York to Russia is well known. "Scotty" was known for his singing and many friends in Hazelton. I would like to hear from anyone who knows more of his background or who wants more re his death.
