Nettie Virginia O'Berry was born on August 7, 1904, in Waycross, Ware, Georgia, United States, daughter of Robert David O'Berry (1874–1954) and Mary Etta Todd (1872–1941). [1] [2]

Nettie (15) married Clarence Winfield Barker (22) (born on January 14, 1898, in Prentiss, Appling, Georgia; son of Winfield Barker and Susan Eliza (Mercer) Barker) on April 26, 1920, in Ware. [3] [4] [5] [6]

Their children were:

  1. Eloise Virginia (Barker) Murray (1922–2006)
  2. Carl Edward Barker (1925–1997)
  3. Richard Eugene "Dick" Barker (1927–1995)
  4. Clarence Winfield, Barker Jr. (1931–2005)
  5. Sarah Elizabeth Barker (1933–2018)
  6. Raymond David Barker (1936–2001)
  7. Jack Lamar Barker (1939–1971)

Nettie died on January 29, 1992, in Waycross, aged 87. [7] She is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, Georgia. [8]
