Johann Noll came free to the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Johann Friedrich NOLL, 'Fred' [1]was born on 5 November 1806 and baptised on 9 November 1806, in Tucheim, Saxony, Prussia. Parents Johann Christoph NOLLE and Anna Dorothea Maria Elisabeth TELTAU.

Johann married Albertine Henrietta Charlotte ZIMMERMANN on 10 October 1829 in Prussia. The couple had at least 5 children together.

  • August Friedrich (16 Apr 1830 - 17 Sep 1901).
  • Marie Friedricke (8 Jul 1834 - ).
  • Dorothea Fredrike Henrietta (28 Aug 1836 - ).
  • Christian August (11 Mar 1840 - 18 Jan 1905).
  • Johann Friedrich Wilhelm (4 Sep 1844 - 9 Jun 1900).

After Albertines death in 1860, he emigrated to South Australia to join his sons in 1863 aboard the 'Helene' sailing from Hamburg. He arrived in the colony on 10 February 1864, aged 57.[2]

He died on 15 May 1881 at Napperby, South Australia, aged 75.[3]

The paternal and maternal lines are confirmed to the ancestral couple of John Christoph NOLL and Anna Dorothea Maria Elisabeth TELTAU.[4][5]
