Biography

Emmanuela Nigliazzo is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giuseppe Nigliazzo and Vincenza Trumbaturi. I have estimated Emmanuela is 20 years old (b. 1755) when she marries for the first time.

Emmanuela marries at least twice, first to Calogero Alfonzo, son of the late Matteo Alfonzo and Serafina Cardella, on 11 June 1775. Her father has died by this time.^[1]

Emmanuela remarries to Gaetano Castro on 23 February 1783. According to this record, her parents are both living at this time.^[2]

Emmanuela and Gaetano have at least one child, Domenico (1784).

Domenico is born and baptized 12 August 1784, named after his paternal grandfather. His godparents are Emmanuele Provinzano, who is unmarried, and Rosaria, wife of Angelo Trumbatore.^[3]

Gaetano dies at around age 55 (b. 1731) on 18 February 1786.^[4]

Domenico marries Rosalia Crapa, on 14 February 1808.

Domenico dies at age 40 (b. 1784) on 13 August 1824. His wife survives him. This record gives Emmanuela's last name as "Milazzo."

Emmanuela dies on 27 December 1828. Her age and her parents' full names are not given, and her late husband is called Giuseppe. I estimate Emmanuela is about 77 (b. 1755) at death.
