Biography

Domenico Cascio (or "Castro") is a Corleone native resident, the son of Bernardo and Arcangela Castro. I estimate he is born around 1725, twenty years before he marries.

Domenico marries Rosa Pipia (called "Rosalia" or "Rosaria" in other records) on 16 September 1745. His parents are living.

Domenico and Rosa have at least three children: Gaetano (c. 1731), Arcangela (c. 1747), and Rosalia (c. 1755).

Gaetano is born around 1731, based on his reported age at death.

Arcangela, who shares a name with both her grandmothers, is born around 1747, based on her reported age at death.

Rosalia (who is also called "Rosaria" in some records)'s birth year is not yet known. I have estimated she is 20 years old when she marries for the first time.

Arcangela marries Castrenze Trumbatore on 11 November 1770.

Rosalia marries at least twice, first to Angelo Trumbatore, Castrenze's brother, on 14 January 1776.

Gaetano marries Rosa Fratello on 30 January 1779. Domenico has died by this time, according to this record.

Gaetano remarries, to Emmanuela Nigliazzo, on 23 February 1783. According to this record, both his parents are living.

Gaetano dies at around age 55 (b. 1731) on 18 February 1786.^[1]

Rosalia marries for the second time, to Giovanni Castellana, on 30 September 1801.

Rosalia, the elder, dies at age 68 (b. 1735) on 17 May 1803. It's not clear whether Domenico survives her. His death record has not yet been found.

Arcangela dies at age 80 (b. 1747) on 13 June 1827. Her husband survives her.
