Helen M. Bernardi, 81, of 112 W. Tompkins St., Ithaca died Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at Cayuga medical Center.

She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Wagner Nemecek and was the widow of martin Bernardi, who died in 1992.

Helen had been employed for may(sic many) years by Smith corona in Groton and was a former member of St. Anthony's church and the Rosary and altar Society.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Priscill and william Ostrander of Newfield; her granddaughter Alishka Ostrander; her sisters alice Brabic of Cortland and rose Todd of Locke; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by a son Ricardo (Ricky) Bernardi in 1969.

Private funeral services will be celebrated by Rev. Bernard Carges at Bangs Funeral Home, folloed by burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Groton, NY.

There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Anthony's church, Groton, NY.
