I live on PEI but my family's Canadian origins are from Nova Scotia, from before that my origins are on the British Isles with my mothers' side being Scottish and my father's being Irish. Hence I like to refer to myself as a Celtic Canadian
If you need help exploring Canadian records or trying to track your Scottish or Irish Imigrant ancestors I'm here to help.

Thank you, Brian, for participating with the Irish Seanchaithe during the Connect-a-Thon!
It is once again time for our annual Ireland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:
You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you no longer are able to participate in the Ireland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.
Many thanks for all that so many of you have contributed to the project in the past year, and very special thanks to those who answered the project’s call and gave generously of their time to be part of Team Seanchaithe during the most recent connect-a-thon. We are looking forward to hearing from you.
le dea-mhéin, Jen Hutton, Ireland Project co-leader
Thank you for all your profile-creating in the April 2023 Connect-a-Thon, Brian. The Irish Seanchaithe appreciate all your efforts!
We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.
I thought that Halifax, Nova Scotia, might be the one since John’s father, James Smith, could have been in Canada in the period just prior to 1818 as part of British forces. The records that I have found for James’ service in the military have been inconclusive. I would welcome any help that you may be able to give me. Vernon Smith
Thanks, Vernon Smith

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.
Take care

Thanks for showing Scotland as one of your interests. If you haven’t yet done so, please join the Scotland project via the G-2-G topic. I hope you get a great deal of pleasure collaborating with colleagues in this great project. If you have any questions or wish any advice either send me a private message or email me.
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project pages to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
