We're so happy to see you are still active on WikiTree and caring about the Dutch profiles. The Dutch Roots Project is looking forward to give the project a new fresh start to put the Dutch in a more prominent place on the WikiTree map. The project is currently managing over 50,000 profiles and the total number of Dutch profiles on WikiTree exceeds 500,000! Within the project we are monitoring the quality of the Dutch profiles and assisting other WikiTreers in producing those profiles. We would love to pick up some other tasks but to do so we need more volunteers. This is why we check in with the members of the DRP to see if you would like to help us expand.
1) Would you like to do some volunteer work for the Dutch Roots Project? 2) If yes, what kind of work would you prefer to do within the Dutch Roots Project? E.g. translating, sourcing, or something else you want to work on?
We hope for a positive reaction but please don't feel obliged to volunteer. We just want to have a group of persons we can ask to help us with certain activities

ja, ik wil wel iets doen voor het Dutch Roots Project. Sourcing vind ik het leukst, maar ik kan ook vertaalwerk doen.

Bedankt voor je positieve reactie! Ik had even beter moeten kijken, dan had ik je meteen in het Nederlands kunnen benaderen, sorry. We zijn momenteel een lijst met interessegebieden aan het samenstellen zoals aangegeven door de respondenten. Ik begrijp dat we voor jou Sourcing en Vertalen mogen noteren, prima! Zodra we alles verwerkt hebben komen we bij iedereen terug met voorstellen voor specifieke activiteiten. Het lijkt er al op dat in ieder geval regionale Sourcing groepjes gevormd kunnen worden, dus als jij voorkeur hebt, laat maar weten. Zou best eens Zuid-Holland kunnen zijn als ik jouw boom zo zie...

Bij onze Dutch Roots Project pagina en het Nederlands Portaal kun je al heel veel informatie vinden en .. allemaal in het Nederlands, mocht je toch nog vragen hebben, schroom niet en stel ze gerust, we helpen graag :)
Hier is een link naar de sectie met de belangrijk(st)e Dutch Roots project info en hier is de meest recente Project update. (Onze Nederlandse naamconventie en het gedeelte over de LNAB=Last Name At Birth of Achternaam bij geboorte) zijn vooral heel belangrijk en kunnen het aanmaken of importeren van duplicaten helpen voorkomen. )

It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many WikiTree members, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
