Birth and Baptism
Francois Pierre Morin was baptized in Oct 1735 at Saint-François-de-Sales-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[1] He was the son of Jacques Morin and Therese Quemleur.

Research note: The available images for Pierre's baptismal act are damaged and several pages are out of sequence. On the baptismal act, one can make out the year (1735), his mother's name, and that he was born on a Wednesday (ne de macredy). However, the month and date are not visible. Tanguay in his work calls the baptism date as 17 Oct 1735. That is the date of the burial act before Pierre's baptism. Perhaps Tanguay had access to a better copy or made a guess that the burial and baptism took place on the same day. If that baptism date is used, then it is possible Pierre was born on the Wednesday previous, 12 Oct 1735, which seems unlikely for the times. It would not have been 17 Sep 1735 as was the previous date on this profile since that was a Saturday. Since the next (out of sequence) record for October is for October 23, it is also possible, and perhaps more likely, that Pierre was baptized between 17 Oct and 23 Oct. In that case his birth date would have been Wednesday, 19 Oct 1735.

Death and Burial
Pierre Morin, husband of Marie Josephte Talon, died on 3 Jun 1814 and was buried 5 Jun 1814 at Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Hyacinthe, Bas-Canada, Amérique Coloniale Britannique.[2]
