Nazaire Herménégilde Morin est né le 24 janvier 1857 à Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Canada-Est, fils de Vital Morin et d'Emerence Théberge. Il a été baptisé le lendemain à l'église de cette paroisse, ayant pour parrain Nazaire Marseau et pour marraine Sophie Théberge.[1]
