Biography

Jean-Baptiste was born on 23 Jul 1815 in St-Hyacinthe, Québec and baptized the next day in Cathédral de Nôtre-Dame-du-Rosaire. The godfather was Jean-Baptiste Eli and the godmother was Marie Tétro, neither of whom could sign their names. Jean-Baptiste married Charlotte Jarred dit Beauregard in St-Hyacinthe on 25 Jan 1842. His parents were listed as Jacques Morin and Hélène Gagnon. Charlotte's parents were recorded as Charles Jarred dit Beauregard and Marie Amable Lalue. Both of their mothers were listed as deceased.
