Biography
Marie Judith, daughter of Joseph Marie Morin and Brigitte Saucier, was born 17 Mar 1770 and baptized the following day in parish of Saint-Louis-de-Kamouraska, Province de Québec. Her godparents were Prisque Bouchard and Marie Louise Ouellet. [1]
Francois Poirié, son of the late Pierre Poirié and Marie Gaudette of the parish of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Nicolet, and Marie Julie Morin, daughter of the late Joseph Morin and Marie Louise Saucier of this parish, were married 3 Mar 1794 in the parish of La Visitation-de-la-Pointe-du-Lac, Pointe-du-Lac, Bas-Canada. Present at the marriage were André Morin and Augustin Morin brothers of the bride, François Gareau, Joseph Doucet and many others. [2]

Judith Morin, wife of François Poirié and of the given age of thirty-seven years, died 12 Aug 1813 and was buried the following day in the cemetery of Saint-Grégoire-le-Grand, Saint-Grégoire, Bas-Canada. Present at the burial were Joseph Poirié and Jean Poirié. [3]

Judith Morin died six days after giving birth to her daughter Judith Poirié. The baby, who was born 6 Aug 1813, died two days later.
