Biography
Jane was born in 1809, the daughter of Daniel Morgan who married Agnes Beveridge on 9 Dec 1808 at Dalgetty, Dunfermline, Scotland. [1]
Jean Morgan married William Shepherd in 1830 in Dunfermline.[2]
In 1841 Jean was living at Drysdales Houses, Crossgates Dunfermline. She lived there with William and 5 children.[3]
In 1851 She was living at Golfdrum Street Dunfermline with William and 6 children.[4]
In 1861 Jean lived at Golfdrum Street with William and 3 children.[5]
In 1871 Jean was living at Rose Street, Dunfermline with her son William and her grand daughter Jane Brown, her daughter Ann's child. Jean was a winder.[6]
In 1881 Jean was living at Old School Row Dunfermline with three others. One of the others was her grandaughter Ann Brown, her daughter Ann's child by David Brown. Jean was a seamstress.[7]
Jane Morgan passed away in 1886.
