Research Notes

John's wife, Sarah Jones, dtr of John Evans (Welsh naming convention: John ap Evan) and Delila her mother, was disowned in 1694 for "allowing daughter Sarah to marry her 1st cousin” [however, her father did name her in his Will]) Under the Welsh naming tradition, a daughter would be Sarah dtr of John. John was later changed to Jones in American naming tradition.
