Biography
Stephen Morgan was born about 1806. He was the son of John Morgan and Letia (Unknown) Morgan.[1]
Stephen Morgan married Martha Perminta "Mindy" Long on 27 September 1844 at Greene, Tennessee, USA.[2][3] Bond was provided by Stephen Morgan and Jacob Wills.[4] The marriage was solemized by Joseph Hutchison.[5][6]

Research Notes
Birth: Earliest record of birth date is his father's Revolutionary War pension application stating Stephen was 14 years of age on 25 October 1820 (thus born about 1806). Census records place his birth year as: 1818, 1816, 1814, and 1818 and all state he was born in South Carolina.
The family lived in the Limeston Springs area of Greene County, Tennessee. In 1880, he lived in Cocke County, Tennessee.
