  • 1777 "Rulof" Morgan served as an Ensign in Capt. Samuel Miller's company, 30th Battalion aka "Susquehanna Battalion", Cecil County Militia. [3]
  • 1778 "Rulof" Morgan of Cecil County, Maryland: His Oath of Allegiance was taken by Justice Samuel Miller. [4]
  • 1781 "Roelef" Morgan is listed as a Taxable in the North Susquehanna Hundred of Cecil County. John Morgan (his younger brother) is also listed as a Taxable in that same Hundred. [5]

  • 1800 US Federal Census for District 2, Harford County, Maryland lists the "Ruliff" Morgan household consisting of 1 white Male 45 and over (Ruliff - himself), 2 white Males age 16-25 (John & William or Thomas ? ), 1 white Female 45 and over (Margaret - his wife), 1 white Female age 10-15 ( ? ) and 2 Slaves.   • 5 Feb 1805 "Roelef" Morgan published his will in which he named his wife Margret Morgan, three sons Robert, John and Thomas Morgan and two daughters Mary Bailey and Eleanor Mitchell. He constituted Benedict Bailey and his son, Thomas Morgan as executors. [12]
  • 28 Feb 1805 Will of "Roelef" Morgan, signed 5 Feb 1805, probated 28 Feb 1805. [13]
