Evan Morgan was born on 8 February 1807 in Cocke County, Tennessee, the sixth of eight known children and the third of four sons of Evan and Abigail Netherton Morgan.

Alternate date of birth: 8 February 1806.

On 11 March 1841, about a month after his thirty-fourth birthday, he married Caroline Jones in Daviess County, Missouri.. She bore him nine known children, six sons and three daughters:

9. Emma Morgan.

In June 1882, when he was seventy-five, he died in Clay Township, Saline, Missori.^[1]
